LLM link dump
articles/blog posts about LLMs that i like. categorized by general mood. please be aware of your general mental health before continuing. we’re all tired.
if you need it to be stated here i dislike LLMs. this is not an endorsement. however blocking my ears and going lalalallalalala doesn’t help anyone. well it helps my political agenda to sit and pretend that something doesn’t do anything ever but we’re never going to reach nuance that way. this is my exploratory research zone okay? okay? don’t beat me up for stuff i say here? okay?

whatever the fuck terrence tao is doing
irregardless to what you think of llms or whatever. i think whatever this stuff is is going to pan out to be the new version of protein folding@home or whatever. EVENTUALLY. you can’t really argue against “this thing can verifiably do something positive” but you sure can misrepresent frontier research to advance a pro-llm agenda in the short term

Math 2.0
- interesting perspective i guess
- “Despite the impression given by press releases and social media, most of the problems at the current frontier of mathematics remain unsolved, even with massive computational expenditure. Indeed, the space of mathematical problems remains infinite; and the difficulty level of such problems is unbounded. Because of this, the future frontiers of mathematics will always continue to expand.”
